These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Daily Verse Tool (the “Service,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), including this website and related features.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service
Daily Verse Tool helps you browse Bible verses, build and manage playlists, and listen to verses read aloud. Some features may work offline using storage on your device.
The Service is provided free of charge. We do not currently display third-party advertisements (such as Google AdSense) on this Service.
Content is for personal reflection and inspiration. It is not pastoral counseling, medical, legal, or other professional advice.
Accounts
Some features may require an account or sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Notify us if you believe your account has been misused.
Your Content and Data
You may create playlists and preferences while using the Service. Playlist and preference data may be stored on your device (for example, in your browser’s local storage). Clearing site data, switching browsers or devices, or device failure can erase or limit access to that local data.
We do not guarantee that local data will be preserved forever. Where practical, we may offer export/backup features and (for guests) a device identifier so playlists can sync to our servers before email registration. Clearing site data can remove the local device identifier; see the Privacy Policy for details. Until you use backup or sync, treat local playlists as not permanently backed up.
You retain rights in content you create (such as your playlist selections), subject to these Terms and applicable law. You grant us permission to host and process that content as needed to operate the Service.
Donations
You may choose to support the Service with an optional donation. Donations are voluntary and do not create a paid subscription, warranty, or entitlement to any feature, priority support, or guaranteed uptime unless we expressly say otherwise.
Donation payments may be processed by a third-party provider. Their terms and privacy practices apply to the payment flow. Unless required by law or by the payment provider, donations are generally non-refundable.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not violate these Terms or applicable laws.
You may not:
- Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or interfere with its operation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, servers, or related systems.
- Scrape, bulk-download, or abuse text-to-speech or other APIs in a way that harms the Service or third parties.
- Copy or redistribute our site design, branding, or non-scripture materials without permission.
- Use the Service for fraudulent, harmful, or misleading activity.
Scripture and Third-Party Text
Bible text is provided under the public-domain status or licenses of each translation. We do not claim ownership of scripture text. Translation notices appear on our About page.
We do not guarantee that all content will always be complete, accurate, current, or error-free.
Intellectual Property
Except for scripture and other third-party materials, the Service’s design, logos, layout, software, and original materials are owned by us or licensed to us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our non-scripture materials without prior written permission.
Third-Party Services
The Service may use third-party services such as:
- Hosting and deployment providers.
- Analytics providers (for example, Google Analytics), if enabled.
- Authentication or cloud data providers.
- Text-to-speech or scripture data providers.
- Donation or payment processors.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, that the Service will be free from errors, bugs, or technical issues, or that data stored on your device will never be lost.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of data (including playlists), loss of profits, business interruption, or Service unavailability.
